📖 How to Use — GIF Frame Extractor

Extract any individual frame from an animated GIF and save it as a static PNG — entirely client-side using omggif.

1
Upload a GIF file

Click the drop zone and select any animated GIF from your device. The GIF plays in the left preview pane and all frames are decoded in the background.

2
Scrub to the frame you want

Drag the Scrub frames slider to navigate through all frames. The current frame number (e.g. "Frame 12 / 48") is shown. The selected frame renders on the canvas instantly.

3
Capture the frame

Click Capture This Frame. The frame is saved to the gallery as a PNG with the frame number in the filename (e.g. screenshotsonline-gif-frame-12.png).

4
Load a new GIF

Click ↺ Load new GIF to reset and upload a different file. All captured frames accumulate in the gallery below.
